Reo sports an average male body of a Minkan, about six feet one inch tall, a body mass of 160 pounds, and a bit less muscle mass than his soldier comrades. He has green eyes and a deep, dark-chocolate-like hair color, which he keeps well kept and short, never going beyond his eyebrows. He remains clean-shaven and has almond-shaped eyes. His voice is average for a male of his age and species, not quite deep like older people, but not quite high like females or males older than him. It's often described as silky and/or smooth.

Reo is considered quiet and shy, but once you befriend him he opens up a great deal. He enjoys geology and the study of rocks, universal formation, and other subjects including geology. Because he is so passionate about geology he often goes on tangents when he's talking about his findings, relating them to previous studies and/or random information he remembers. He's not very hostile, but can be quite deadly in a fight if it came down to it. Since his occupation involves lifting heavy rocks (yes, sometimes with mechanical assistance), he doesn't mind exercise or heavy lifting, despite his lower muscle mass.

Reo was born in one of Yamatai's outer colonies in YE 20, his parents both scientists. Thankfully crime was not huge, and the local Police punished those who committed thievery and murder heavily (no place is perfect, after all).While his parents worked for private contractors that had interests in the mineral composition of the world, gas composition of the air, and potential for advanced forms of life. At a young age he compiled a rock collection, from valuable gems to common, useless pebbles found everywhere.

He often looked up to the Star Army soldiers who would sometimes visit, along with the security forces, always telling himself he would join and serve the capital planet Yamatai. Upon joining he went to basic training and excelled in close-quarters combat, and above average on shooting. Living on a frontier world was both amazing and extremely challenging, meaning he was quite skilled with a rifle. After basic training he went on to school to specialize in science, specifically geology.

Reo can communicate in all basic languages, use any communication device he needs to, and is able to give/receive orders as necessary. He can write well and speak clearly.

Reo is quite skilled in hand-to-hand combat despite his low muscle mass, though is still able to be taken down quite effortlessly if you catch him with his guard down. He also received extensive weapons training, both in gravity and zero gravity.

Reo is able to use any system he needs to, as well as all science equipment his is trained to operate. He can search/enter information efficiently.

Reo did well in mathematics as a child in the local school, and did average in training. He is efficient with numbers and can add, subtract multiply, and divide, often without assistance from a calculator (though for some circumstances he may need one).

Reo received both basic and advanced first aid at home and in the Star Army due to his profession. He can stabilize most wounds and even perform minor surgery if needed, but anything above that would require a medic and/or hospital facility.

Because of his profession, Reo needs to understand and know all of the elements included in chemistry, along with how they react and how they are used in geology. He can make some nice explosives too with a few hyper-reactive rocks.

He is able to easily find water in a hostile environment thanks to his studies in rock formation, provide accurate camoflauge, build a temporary shelter, and forage/hunt if needed thanks to his experience on the frontier and his training.
