Taii or Daii (大尉; Lieutenant) is the fourth commissioned officer rank in the Star Army of Yamatai after Chui and before Shosa and is the third officer non-training rank. The rank pin consists of a white enamel triangle with the officer's fleet logo nestled in the center of a gold colored metallic heart. Taii are typically bridge officers on larger ships, although it is also extremely common to see them in charge of cargo ships, escorts, and gunships. Taii is the lowest rank that can use a rank flag.
