Hinomaru Sunrises is a plot set to begin in 2021 by Game Master Andrew and Co-GM Demibear. The plot is set to be set in the aftermath of Resolutions Of The Ghost and will be the next chapter in the story of the Motoyoshi Clan. It was cancelled and then restarted as Hinomaru Sunrises II.

The first part of the Prelude: A Dishonor to the Name¹⁾:

• Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko makes an unexpected trip back to Asagumo-jo following a high tension dispute with Senator Iemochi Seinosuke. She meets with Kaieda Auda to discuss the hardships during which a slanderous and personal attack is aired by Yamatai Interstellar News Network (YINN)²⁾ from Senator Iemochi Seinosuke and his political party.
• Kaieda Auda along with Motoyoshi-Igarashi Yue, Motoyoshi, Kazumi,Motoyoshi Kuroko, Motoyoshi Eidan and Freydis Inugami gather to take advantage of the unexpected visit of Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko.
• The visit is interrupted when it is announced that the Capital Dome has been bombed in a terrorist attack and that Motoyoshi-Ieyasu Taro had been declared missing.³⁾
• Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko resigns as Imperial Premier and although outraged, the family only privately blames Senator Iemochi Seinosuke and his liberal politics for the bombing.⁴⁾⁵⁾⁶⁾
• Motoyoshi-Ieyasu Taro is later recovered from ST Backup.
• Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko announces the start of the Colonization Initiative Alliance fleet.

The second part of the Prelude: Together, Together⁷⁾:

• An emotional reunion between Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko and her wife Shimizu-Motoyoshi Akina (清水本吉明菜) is especially charged as Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko comes undone about recent events.
• Motoyoshi-Ieyasu Taro comes out of retirement and back to the Star Army of Yamatai.⁸⁾
• Re-Establishment Of The Fifth Expeditionary Fleet was ordered in YE 44.7 by Taisho Ketsurui Yui and once again placed under the command of Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko. ⁹⁾¹⁰⁾

A GM Cinematic: Tip of the Black Spine, Hello Governor¹¹⁾:

• Motoyoshi-Ieyasu Tetsuya takes over the position of governor of Jiyuu III and gets some advice from his father, Motoyoshi-Ieyasu Taro. They discuss Senator Iemochi Seinosuke and their plans to go against the Discourse party.
• Motoyoshi-Asano Namika is revealed to be the new leader of the Yugumo Workers Federation, following her retirement from the Star Army of Yamatai.

The third part of the prelude: Natsukashii¹²⁾ is defined by something that evokes a fond memory from your past in Yamataigo (邪馬台語):
