Gemini Star Fortress has been modified from the standard Zodiac-Class Star Fortress design. It received an internal refit in YE 42 during the re-establishment of the First Expeditionary Fleet. The design changes and renovations were submitted by Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko and the Base Commander, Motoyoshi-Yamada Ayano and were completed by the Yugumo Corporation and Ketsurui Fleet Yards.
The Star Fortress has been divided into seven zones, the six arms named after notable ships produced at Gemini Star Fortress:

In YE 42, minor upgrades were made to the Zodiac Light Rail System. Passenger cars have been upgraded to include Volumetric Windows to project important information, announcements, and ads for businesses on the Star Fortress. Lift systems have been put in place at the terminus of each arm zone to allow for movement of cars between the upper and lower concourse levels of each station arm.
Each passenger car has been sealed and given independent Star Army Standard Life Support Systems to allow the train car to serve as a shelter during an emergency. Type 34 Interior Sensor System have also been installed in all sections.
In YE 42, the Hemosynthetic Conduit System was upgraded to the newer Nodal Liquid Conduit System.
