Asher is on the taller side for a Minkan at 5'11, with brown skin and dark eyes and dark hair. He's a fairly heavyset person in general, with the build of someone who would definitely gain weight later in life when they became less active. A good way to describe his form is thick and broad: broad shoulders; a barrel shaped chest; a solid waist; and broad shoulders and legs.

Surprisingly, despite his thick appearance, Asher is the kind of person who's easy on the eyes. He isn't cute (Though former girlfriends might call him that) or pretty. He's handsome, in a way reminiscent of a Nepleslian action hero or sports star, than anything else.

Asher is a big, fun guy to be around, at least when off duty. Not as dour as some of his comrades, nor as irrelevant as others, he's fairly compartmentalized things for himself. His good nature and friendly demeanor and willingness to talk to others often makes him fast friends, though he's also fairly bad at proper protocol with nobles and the rich and all of that.

Often he can be found talking to others when not busy, or spending his time with one of his many hobbies: various sports and martial arts, model kit building, you name it. He's not one to turn down a new experience if there's someone to do it with. He will also fully admit to the advantages of being in the YSE including 'All of the beautiful women I get the honor of serving with,' though his admiration of the female body and flirtatious nature never seems to cause problems thanks to his ability to not push things.

All of that changes when he's on the job and has a task to do. When carrying out orders he's a cool, calm, and quiet professional who's main focus is on getting the task done. Its something that someone learns when training with demolitions, you see. Though he'll often complain and grumble about various tasks, its rare that he'll say no or refuse to do something. He'll just gripe and get the job done.

Asher's exact birth planet isn't known to him, though his parents immigrated to Anisa System from Kennewes when he was barely a toddler in YE 23. He spent most of his life growing up in the Anisa backcountry, and had a pretty normal childhood: he went to school, had his ups an downs, flirted with girls and generally had a pleasant childhood. Nothing really traumatic happened to him or his family.

Then he graduated school and had a few choices to make in life. Sure, he was fairly intuitive and had gotten good grades in school, but he didn't want to go to a university. He didn't want to stay at home to be a farmer either. What he really wanted to do was get out into the wider universe and help people.

So he joined the SAoY, and ended up passing the qualifications to become a Technician. Then he requested a starship posting, and managed to get it. In between enlisting and being assigned to his first ship, he spent some time at dedicated technicians training and learning how to handle explosives.

• Star Army Common Skills : Asher is skilled in the common skills of a soldier of Yamatai. While a skilled and competent Technician with a knack for tinkering, he's taken the time to train with his combat skills: as a technician, he's going to be facing the fire more than is healthy, so he'd rather be capable of defending himself.

• Demolitions: Asher is a combat engineer and a professional: as such, he's trained with all available Star Army explosive devices and is capable of setting as well as disposing of most explosives- if not with ease, than with a quiet professionalism.

• Engineering: All the better to handle his job, Asher has a passing familiarity with structural engineering and building design: he can't really design a building himself, but what he can do is figure out weaknesses that can be exploited by all manner of weaponry.

• Physical: From a childhood spent running around the forests and cultivated fields of Anisa, to an adulthood spent undergoing military training and learning to run from explosives, Asher is in fairly great physical condition.
