Distinguishing Features: She is 18 centimeters tall and has russet tail.

Personality: Asaka is an inquisitive neko who has a penchant for sticking her cat-eared head where it doesn't belong. Part of the reason why she enjoys her job as an infantry is that it means she will get to see a new place during every new operation. Off duty, Asaka try to find random activities to entertain herself, be it swordplay, marksmanship or simply jogging. Asaka hates being stuck with nothing to do though she tries to hide it.

Star Army of Yamatai

Talia Asaka received her training at Educational Facility 1 as an Star Army Infantry. Early during her hand-to-hand portion of her training, Asaka had the oportunity to watch the older more skilled nekos practice swordplay. This display entranced her and would eventually result in her taking the a basic sword training course. Later during her survival training, instructors were forced to keep a close eye on Asaka, as she would frequently wander out of the designated training area. Despite these setbacks, Asaka went about taking survival courses in all of the offered environments ¹⁾.

By the end of her training, it was decided that Asaka would do better to be assigned to the YSS Takamagahara on account that it would be easier to keep a small mini-Neko occupied on a very big ship.

As Asaka's skill with blades grew, she eventually went out of her way to obtain her own custom sword, Aki Ito²⁾. At a casual glance, this sword looks like an ancient letter-opener. Akai Ito is a custom Ta-W1-5a Katana (Mini) that has recieved a few enhancements to make it more durable. Despite the modifications, Akai Ito is not suited for high-powered combat, though Asaka will use it for practice and sparring.

Akarui Kaen³⁾ can be considered to be Akai Ito's big sister. They are nearly identical save for a few key features. First and most obviously is the size. First of all, Akarui Kaen is nearly 10 times longer than its younger sister. Second, in order to enhance its effectiveness in powered combat, it has the power blade modifier. Its name was in part inspired by the effect of the activated power blade.
