The YSS Anzen, ND-S3-558, belonging to the Third Fleet, is a Super Eikan-class Heavy Cruiser built at the Virgo Star Fortress in late-YE 33 for the Star Army of Yamatai. She is commanded by Taisa Bjornhof Dermund.

The YSS Anzen was constructed and commissioned in YE 33 to replenish natural attrition of ships in Fourth Fleet. She served standard duties for a ship of her class for 5 years, then the Kuvexian War broke out in YE 38.

She was part of the Fourth Fleet's operational group, and as a Super-Eikan - a ship specialised for warfighting - was loaned sporadically to the First Fleet, Second Fleet, Third Fleet and others as the war effort demanded. This caused her to see many fronts of the war, as Super-Eikans were sought after.

The YSS Anzen participated in a number of the more notable battles and engagements of the Kuvexian War attached to various Fleets, including the Relief of Essia, the Third Battle Of Nataria and the Battle Of Glimmergold.

The YSS Anzen was part of the Fourth Fleet at the end of the war. She assisted in the Arrival of the Norians as an escort to the Fourth Fleet's relief ships in YE 44.

Soon after she was transferred out into Third Fleet, as she still had 10 years of service lifespan at least and would ultimately not be a long-term strategic fit for Fourth Fleet's new mandate.

The YSS Anzen is currently one of the Star Army of Yamatai's most veteran surviving Super Eikan-class Heavy Cruisers. In her new peacetime role, she and her crew are now quite practiced in training and testing both reservists and budding commanders to work on Super Eikans and other Star Army ships.

She often collaborates with other training functions of the Star Army of Yamatai such as Fort Hikari.
