The level of organization above the Star Army Century and below the Star Army Regiment, battalions are capable of limited independent operations due to greater numbers. It is the first level that includes executive staff with support elements. With reforms made, command of battalions are given to exceptional Taii that elevate themselves among their Centurion peers.

• If it is an armor battalion it consists of:
  • 2 Tank Centuries
  • 1 Tasha Century
  • 2 Infantry Centuries
• If it is an aviation battalion it consists of:
  • 3 Gunship Centuries
  • 2 UAV Centuries

The standard Star Army Battalion contains the following occupations:

• Headquarters Platoon
  • Battalion Commander (typically a Taii)
  • Battalion XO (typically a Chui)
  • Battalion Senior Enlisted Advisor
  • Headquarters Centurion (typically a Chui)
  • Personnel Officer (typically a Shoi)
  • Intelligence Officer (typically a Shoi)
  • Operations Officer (typically a Chui)
  • Logistics Officer (typically a Shoi)
  • IT Officer (typically a Shoi)
  • 11 enlisted personnel and Service Android, Type 36A "Emma" divided between the staff sections.
