The YSS Ranger III, NG-S7-542, is a Fuji-class Expeditionary Gunship built at Gemini Star Fortress in early YE 40 by Ketsurui Fleet Yards for the Star Army of Yamatai's Seventh Fleet. She is commanded by Taisa Signy Williams and is named after the retired YSS Ranger and its predecessors.

The YSS Ranger III is currently working up as a part of Seventh Fleet's eventual mission of attacking the Kuvexians directly. This means a long deployment for the fleet - thus YSS Ranger III is testing the feasibility of putting a full Century on a Fuji-class ship and has been modified accordingly - as the areas intended for VIP usage on a standard Fuji have instead been replaced with additional enlisted quarters.

The YSS Ranger III is currently operating with a smaller-than-usual crew and the 94th Century of the 501st Legion.
