Build and Skin Color: Like most of her kind, Sayuri is short, thin, and an iteration on the attractive human female. Where she differs is her skin is entirely pale, and white. If she were a part of a planetary unit on an ice world, her appearance would be acceptable as camouflage.

Eyes and Facial Features: Small mouth. Small nose. Thin jaw that comes into a pointy chin. Even without the ears, Sayuri can easily be compared to a cat, like her species' namesake. Her eyes are a deep amber orange that somehow do nothing to make her more visible when put up against a white background.

Ears: Light blue-furred triangular cat ears whose final few centimeters up to the tip poke over the top “line” of her head and hair. If you were to measure her from toe to ear tip, she's actually 5'4“ instead of 5'3”.

Hair Color and Style: Sayuri has long white hair she braids. It comes down in a single braid to her lower back. When on duty, she moves the braid up into a nice bun she keeps together with whatever tool she has available - from chopsticks, to pens, to nail files. When going to bed, or in more casual situations, Sayuri takes apart the braid and straightens out the white hair.

Distinguishing Features:

Personality: Sayuri is a very ambitious Nekovalkyrja. She sees others gaining respect, and honor by proving themselves as capable soldiers and leaders. Sayuri is envious of heroes, even while attempting to emulate them. This gives the young neko a dual nature: she is outwardly stoic, obedient, and very respectful of her superiors and equals. Inwardly she is critical, more of herself than her superiors, and she craves social validation. Her immaturity means her stoic front is inherently flawed, and it is easily fractured when Sayuri is (positively) excited. On the flip side, that same flaw when she is negatively impacted means she becomes less communicative, and passive-aggressive.

Sayuri was born YE 36 on Yamatai. She was manufactured to be a soldier for the Star Army of Yamatai. She spent most of her life in training and in socialization, just like most Neko, and has now been assigned to her first post.

During her socialization, she was taught Yamataian history, where they discussed in detail several heroes of the Empire's wars. At one point, a Nekovalkyrja who had participated in both of the Misshuvurthyar wars showed up as a guest to talk to the creche. The attention and praise that the older Nekovalkyrja received left an impression on Sayuri, and ever since she's been driven to earn respect and honor for herself.
