Isuzu is a Player Character played by Alhazred23 and is currently assigned to Fort Victory Reserve Center.

Build and Skin Colour: Isuzu wears the lithe, slender build of a Nekovalkyria without flair. Though perhaps not totally graceless, she moves deliberately and wastes very little motion. This careful, measured manner lends her an air stability that meshes well with her earthy, olive-toned skin. Isuzu is also on the short side, even for a Neko, which tends to emphasize her already curvy figure in distracting ways.

Facial Features and Eye Colour: Large, almond-shaped eyes, a small nose and a hard, narrow jaw line give Isuzu's face a distinctly predatory cast. When she is focused, her deep green irises shine like shards of emerald; bright, clear and deadly sharp. She could theoretically be described as “attractive” or even “cute,” but most would generally apply the caveat, “in an cold/harsh/angry sort of way.”

Hair Colour and Style: Isuzu's hair is straight, black and shiny. She keeps it neatly bobbed just below her cat-like ears, which are covered in fur of a same color and have fluffy tufts at the tips.

Distinguishing Features: In addition to having unusually dark skin for her species, as a 'manufactured' model NH-29S Series Nekovalkyrja, Isuzu was born with a genetic tattoo/bar-code on her left lower back. Isuzu based her personal name on the last two digits of her serial number (50).

Personality: Though still young, Isuzu sometimes seems mature beyond her years. While she is indeed a bit more calm and collected than most six-month-old Nekos, the biggest factor in creating this illusion is her cautious personality.

During training, Isuzu always spent as much time as possible reviewing her instructions and watching others before she would attempt tasks herself. As a result, she managed to complete most of her assignments with apparent ease, and received much praise from her keepers. Isuzu likes to be considered 'reliable,' but is secretly worried that she won't be able to deliver in a pinch.

Despite being posted to the Third Expeditionary Fleet, Isuzu considers the Fifth Expeditionary Fleet her family. During the months she spent on Hotaru Star Fortress, she grew to share many of the views and attitudes common in that isolated corner of the Empire. As a native of the United Outer Colonies, Isuzu slightly more loyal to the Motoyoshi Clan than she is to the Ketsurui Clan.

This attitude has only become further ingrained since Isuzu started her military career in earnest. Though she escaped the massacre at Valaad (An Rhy) in YE 30, Isuzu was not impressed by the decision of Star Army Central Command to send the outdated and diplomacy-centered Third Expeditionary Fleet on a serious combat mission.

After Valaad (An Rhy) Isuzu was assigned to Pisces Station, to assist with the International Relations Conference of YE 30. Tasked with various aspects of station security, Isuzu has had more than her fill of criminals and politicians, and has even attracted the attention of SAINT for certain actions she took while assuming temporary command of conference security during the attempted arrest of Melisson.

This unbroken string of seemingly random misfortune has done much to harden Isuzu's outlook since she was discharged from the training center. On top of being cautious, Isuzu has grown rather cynical and more than a little bit paranoid. The first few weeks of any new assignment are always especially nerve-wracking for her, as doom always seems to strike shortly thereafter.

Likes: Hot chocolate, smoked fish, instruction manuals, machines that make noise so you know they're working. Dislikes: People who don't speak clearly, being in a hurry, the feeling that she's being watched. Goals: To stay alive, come what may, and serve with honor and vigilance as dependable friend and comrade to her fellow soldiers.

Isuzu was created as one of the first batch of NH-29 series Nekos. She and her sisters stayed for 2 months at a Star Army facility at an undisclosed location in the Jiyuu System, where their handlers kept them under close observation. This was to confirm that they would not exhibit any behavioral abnormalities, just to be safe.

During this time, Isuzu was trained to be a technical sentry, mainly via direct downloads of the relevant information into her brain. She also received some hands-on training from her handlers, and occasionally helped out with some minor maintenance work around the facility.

At the end of the two months, Isuzu's handlers declared her physically and mentally fit for duty. She stoically bid goodbye to her handlers, and was sent to an interim posting in the Fifth Expeditionary Fleet. For four months, Isuzu assisted in the repair and restoration of Hotaru Star Fortress, until she recieved her transfer orders and was assigned to the YSS Celia, flagship of the Third Expeditionary Fleet.

Assigned to Security detail under Ittô Heisho Sixthree Tangozulu.

Assigned by Shosa Sasaki Sakai to investigate the wrecks of an unnamed Bellystabber-class pirate vessel and an unnamed Vampire-class escort craft. The wreckage was found in the vicinity of the merchant vessel Graceful Jaunt, which was at the time being boarded by the 'free ship' Nero. Investigations were completed without incident. Awarded one(1) service medal for successful completion of this mission and promoted to rank Ittô Hei.

Assigned to general Security detail.

After the Battle of Valaad in early YE 30 brought to light the poor combat readiness of the Third Expeditionary Fleet, the YSS Celia was moved to dry dock for a much-needed refit. Kuroaki Isuzu was temporarily reassigned to Pisces Station, to assist with the International Relations Conference of YE 30. Though she was assigned many (often unpleasant) tasks in her time on Pisces Station, Isuzu served primarily as a field commander for security details around the station. On the first day of the conference Isuzu's team escorted the attending senators of Yamatai to the station.

On the second day of the conference, Isuzu was given temporary command of the conference area security detail, and was subsequently ordered to evacuate the conference room and arrest the Mishhuvurthyar representative, Melisson. This attempt ultimately ended in failure when Melisson discorporated her own body, but not before she gave Isuzu a message to deliver. When Isuzu forwarded her records to SAINT in order to determine the proper manner in which to handle Melisson's message, she was informed that this information now under SAINT's purview, and she was advised to forget about the incident- or else.

While on Pisces Station, Isuzu was ordered to report to the YSS Akigumo as her next duty station, but after the incident with Melisson she requested a change of orders, forfeiting her chance to return to the Fifth Expeditionary Fleet. She also applied for, and was granted, permission to be upgraded to the NH-29 stealth variant body, ostensibly because it would allow her to bring greater flexibility to her new posting: the YSS Moirai, a small Kyaa-class Search and Rescue Vessel.

Assigned to Security detail and Engineering.

Upon arrival at Anisa System, Isuzu reported her new assignment, the YSS Moirai, and delivered her authorization for upgrade to the NH-29 body to her commanding officer, Shoi Kohosei Galar Vanatosk Unfortunately, an unexpected exception occurred during the upgrade process and Isuzu's growth was halted at the Youngling stage. To minimize the time she would spend at reduced operational capacity, Isuzu's metabolism and growth cycle were accelerated.

In order to facilitate her duties as a technical sentry, Isuzu received extensive training in the maintenance and repair of Star Army shuttles, power armors, and starships. She is adequately proficient at doing maintenance and repair work on any ship model as a part of a team, and at repairing a shuttle or a power armor with the proper tools. Isuzu is also somewhat proficient with the maintenance and repair of Star Army ground vehicles.

Isuzu is familiar with basic radio operation and procedures and can make transmissions to and receive transmissions from other characters through headsets, starships, power armor, and shuttles in both combat and non-combat conditions. She can speak and write both correctly and efficiently and can write reports, fill forms, issue orders under fire, etc. Isuzu is also capable of telepathic communication. Isuzu is fluent and literate in Yamataian, Nepleslian, Phodian, Lorath and Mishhuvurthyar.

Isuzu received hand-to-hand combat and ranged combat training. She is skilled and experienced in combat, both in Yamatai-like conditions and in zero gravity, with and without weapons. Weapons she is trained in include energy pistols, energy rifles, grenades, knives, and power armor.

Isuzu is capable of operating any computer system that uses the Kessaku OS, found on all Star Army starships. She is proficient in entering and/or searching for information.

Isuzu received basic mathematics training, to including up to algebra and trigonometry.

Isuzu is trained in and adequately proficient at operating all models of Star Army shuttles currently in service, as well as most other small airborne or space-based vehicles, such as hover-bikes, small airplanes, etc. She is also somewhat capable of operating tanks, cars, trucks, and other ground-based vehicles.

In addition to the basic repair skills required of Technical Sentries, Isuzu has been trained the physical sciences, computers, electronics, and mechanical engineering. She is moderately proficient in the design, fine tuning, testing and modification of both known Star Army technology and new devices.

Note: Isuzu has taken advantage of the recent changes to uniform regulations, and has chosen the male-styled variant female uniform. She feels it de-emphasizes her relatively short stature and full figure, compared to the standard bodysuit.
