Misha-class Bridge SAoY Update

The bridge of the Misha was designed for that one Minkan that just wants to play Star Army of Yamatai. With two seats at each console except the command station, the small six-station-plus-captain arrangement mimics the Star Army Internal Small Starship Bridge, Type 40, less the liaison station, and is based in part on a modernized MFY Type 30 Chikara Bridge Module.

All of the curved walls of the circular bridge, up to the peak of the hemispherical ceiling are Volumetric Windows above the level of the crew consoles, capable of displaying any image or video, as well as colors and patterns, giving the bridge a 360° viewscreen. The comfortable, ergonomic, multi-adjustable seats feature cupholders, adjustable armrests, massage, ventilation, lumbar support, and SQUID interfaces and Virtual Home Sleep.

The bridge stations are:

  • Command Chair and Console
  • Communications and Mission Operations
  • Science and Sensors
  • Systems and Safety Monitoring
  • Navigation
  • Tactical
  • Guest Station

The nomenclature for the module is Yu-Y1-M4200.

History

First employed on the Misha-Class Explorer, the bridge module is also used not only on the 1B revision, but also on ships ranging from the similar Yūgure-class Merchant Destroyer all the way up to the enormous Tanya-Class Expeditionary Heavy Cruiser.

In the wake of a large slue of Star Army of Yamatai contracts requiring Yugumo Corporation engineers to make ad hoc modifications to their existing Misha-Class Bridge designs, the design teams realized that they could avoid repeatedly reinventing the wheel by making a standardized Star Army bridge design.

SAoY Variant

The SAoY update to the Misha-class Bridge prioritizes improved situational awareness, vertical and horizontal information sharing and communication, and decreased crew fatigue.
