The first major operation of the 4th Standard Fleet after the change of command to Taisho Shimizu-Motoyoshi Akina (清水本吉明菜). In early YE 30, the conflict with the Freespacers came to a crux point, and orders from command came down to return to the Halna system to destroy fortifications being built there.

Arriving in the system, a squadron of Plumeria class gunships borrowed from the First Expeditionary Fleet put a FTL blackout on the system. Transmitting a message ordering the system locked down, the temporary flagship the YSS Nadare under Shimizu Taisho's command positioned itself with the rest of the fleet, and sent vanguards in. After some difficulty, the defenses were destroyed, and humanitarian aid was given via medical ships that were brought with the fleet, and civilian vessels were allowed to depart after the blackout was lifted. However, during the operation the Battle of the Great Lighthouse had occurred, putting a stark contrast of the goodwill shown by the fleet in comparison to the conquering operation.

With the objective complete, and a small contingent of Ayame cruisers waiting for a possible Third Fleet garrison stayed behind, and the fleet returned to Yamatai for debriefing.
