The Shugosha System is a Resource System that is part of the Yamatai Star Empire.

The Shugosha System is a very large system with nine Planets and a very large resource-rich outer asteroid belt called the Torimodosu Belt. The system was discovered and colonized in YE 30, However, it did not receive much attention until YE 42 when the Yugumo Corporation sought to expand existing resource extraction in the system.

Shugosha means “Protector” in Yamataigo (邪馬台語).

The Senator representing the system is Pitz Ria, as of YE 43.

When the Shugosha System was first discovered in YE 30 by the Fifth Expeditionary Fleet it was noted to be a resource-rich system ideal for industrial colonization. The Fleet quickly established colonies under the flag of the Yamatai Star Empire across the system, but when the United Outer Colonies gained control they invested in the Siren System and the colonies in the Shugosha System were left by the wayside.

Deeply affected by the harsh bombings and raids of the Second Mishhuvurthyar War production ceased entirely in the Shugosha System and the Colonies were some of the last to receive assistance when the Star Army of Yamatai returned to the region in YE 33 to reclaim it as part of the Yamatai Star Empire. Policial attempts were made, a candidate for the Senate of Yamatai promised to bring change to the Shugosha System and failed to deliver. (See:Senate Application.)

In YE 42, after the Motoyoshi Clan returned to the Jiyuu System and the Yugumo Corporation established that it would be taking over the former facilities of Motoyoshi Fleet Yards hope was once again given to the colonists in this system as infrastructure, transportation, and living conditions, in general, were quickly improved. The Yugumo Corporation declared the system was valuable, almost as valuable as the neighboring Siren System and the Motoyoshi Clan pushed for new construction and expansion to begin immediately. Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko included the System in her Defense Plans, and made a promise to the people of Shugosha that they would never be undefended or left to their own devices so long as she had influence.

In YE 43, Pitz Ria became the Senator for the system. Her popularity working for Kikyo Pie Company was assuredly a factor in her rise to such prominence.

In YE 42 the Star Army of Yamatai activated Fate Bastion on Shugosha I as part of the First Expeditionary Fleet presence in the region.

The system is also routinely patrolled by the First Expeditionary Fleet .
