The 1XF Starship Improvement Program identifies and corrects faults in older starship designs, as well as implementing new technologies to increase ship capabilities.
The 1XF Starship Refit Program primarily deals with taking older starships from the fleet and depot and bringing them up to standard by outfitting them with the latest improvements developed by the Starship Improvement Program.
