The Type 35 Skirt is a miniskirt that is part of the Star Army of Yamatai's Star Army Duty Uniform, Type 35. It is an optional replacement to the standard-issue pants and is popular among female soldiers, particularly officers and command personnel. It is one of two skirts authorized for wear; the other is the Star Army Skirt, Pleated, Type 35.

The Type 35 skirt is made of fabric matching the Star Army Jacket, Type 35. It has two seams on the front and one on the back, which has a slit at the bottom for mobility. It has a zipper at the center rear.

In YE 35, the Star Army of Yamatai introduced a skirt that was a standardized design. Prior to this, with the Type 30 series uniforms, the regulations were quite loose and skirts a wide variety of lengths, colors, and even materials. New regulations stated that, when worn, skirts should be short enough that they would not extend past the bottom of the black overcoat and should be regal blue in color.

In YE 41, the Star Army introduced a new version of the uniform made of biodegradable fabric, due to environmental concerns. The new material was a 55/45 blend of polyester and wool.

The Type 35 skirt is always worn with opaque tights except in very hot weather.
