Build and Skin Color: Her build is short, and somewhat slim. Ren's skin color is a sterile shade of grey, giving her a pale washed out look that almost fades into the walls around her. She's got some padding around the hips though.

Facial Features and Eye Color: Her face is soft and gentle, with a small button nose, a pair of large eyes, and a startlingly wide and large mouth. Her lips are wide and are frequently cracked or bleeding as she picks at them obsessively whenever there's nothing more important to occupy her hands. Her ears are long cat ears that end with tufts of fuzz. Her ears are a pale blue color. Her eyes are a very washed out and pale shade of brown that looks almost like a tanish shade of grey

Hair Color and Style: Her hair is white, and she wears it in a long French braided pony tail which dangles between her legs and touches the floor. When she's in a situation where having such long hair might be dangerous, she piles the pony tail up on her head, and pinions it in place with her hair-clip. Her hair-clip is black in color, with a stylized opalescent white butterfly in the center serving as the clip.

Distinguishing Features: Due to a slight, but unimportant glitch in her creation process, she never developed much pigment. She's not quite an albino, but her skin is slightly translucent nevertheless. Her long hair is also quite the distinguishing feature.

Her other distinguishing features are more part of how she dresses. She prefers having her neck covered to having it uncovered so she got a cloth collar to wear when her uniform was off. Due to her slight oral fixation she carries around a pacifier on a string, which she keeps around her neck, often stuffing the pacifier into her mouth to chew on it.

Personality: Ren is bursting with a sort of innocent energy, this is coupled with a bubbly effervescent personality which gets on some people's nerves. Along side this eager energy is a great deal of curiosity and creativity. Despite her energetic and adventurous nature she has a hard time picking a direction to go in for a sustained period of time. When left to her own devices she explores every direction she can a short distance, then a longer one, then a longer one. When directed though she tends to actually start getting somewhere, whether with studies, or with more literal situations.

Because of this, and because she likes getting things done but has trouble deciding what it is she wants to get done, she tends to seek out people she feels she can trust such as commanding officers or close friends and ask them to tell her what to do: What general path in life to take, what goals she should reach for. She has something of a soft spot for orders and the people who give them, though if the orders are not specified well she often will attempt to achieve the goal of the orders in an unexpected way.

Aside from that she has more then a little oral fixation, and often sticks objects into her mouth to chew on, suck on, or just hold. Her shirts and clothing are well chewed, and she grew out her hair so that, in the absence of anything else, it would be available for chewing.

Despite, or perhaps because of, her quirks she is more then capable of fulfilling her duties.

Ketsurui Zaibatsu

Ren was born to Yamatai, and she was trained to be an EWO… a job position that her personality profile fit well as it put her subordinate to the proper pilot of the vehicle. Nothing particularly exciting has happened to her since then as she's very young and very new, she's only recently graduated from training.

Ren is familiar with basic radio operation and procedures and can make transmissions to and receive transmissions from other characters through headsets, starships, power armor, and shuttles in both combat and non-combat conditions. she is fluent in Nepleslian and Yamataian. She can speak and write both correctly and efficiently and can write reports, fill forms, issue orders under fire, etc. As a neko she also possesses telepathy.

Since she's an electronics warfare specialist she's also good at computer languages, and can understand tonal broadcast machine code. (Which is what your modem produces). Since the enemies of Yamatai don't always speak Yamatai she speaks snippets of other languages just in case. no where near full proficiency but enough for general proficiency.

Also she is skilled in cryptography, especially counter cryptography aspect and will often attempt to tune the available radios to the enemies channels and listen in on them to help her come to tactical conclusions

Ren received hand-to-hand combat training, followed up with a rigorous training program. She is skilled and experienced in combat both in Yamatai-like conditions and in zero-gravity, with and without weapons. Weapons she is trained in include energy pistols, knives, and power armor.

Ren is capable of operating any computer system that uses the Kessaku OS, found on all Star Army starships. She is proficient in entering and/or searching for information. Ren is also skilled at using the OSes of people have spent time as allies of Yamatai, and people who have spent time as foes. She is a very skilled computer user, and uses this skill to assist her in her role as EWO. She also is skilled at hacking, and utilizing jammers decoys, ghosts, proxy bypasses, long distance connections and electronics warfare devices. She can also read most sensory equipment

Ren received advanced mathematics training, to including up to smooth manifolds and vector calculus. Note that topology is used in computer system networks, smooth manifolds are used in quantum level calculations, and vector calculus is used in relativistic settings, and to help calculate energy exchange in physics equations, especially with surface integrals of charges on an object

Ren is capable of assisting her pilot by performing combat and emergency maintenance and patchwork, as well as assisting in general maintenance in less demanding circumstances. Sometimes her kludge jobs don't last very long, but it's usually possible for her to get a limping vehicle back to it's base before it completely fails through emergency maintenance.

Ren trained in first aid so that she would be more able to bring a pilot back alive after severe damage. Because of this she is very skilled in emergency first aid. her other set of skills, though she is reluctant to use them, is to keep a seriously injured or dying person conscious and moving for just a little bit longer, milking as much time out of them as possible until they fall into the blackness of death or unconsciousness. The latter skill can often cause long term medical issues.

While she can perform emergency first aid, and primitive field surgery, she is not as skilled in a properly equipped operating ward or med bay, in which case she works better as an assistant or nurse then as the primary doctor.

Ren is trained to pilot vehicles in case the proper pilot is taken down, as well as being trained to serve as a co-pilot for most vehicles. She has logged the most training hours on aero and space fighters and bombers, while having logged much less time in tank and other ground vehicles. She is capable of piloting a tank, but noticibly less skilled.
