Build and Skin Color: Blue skin (#000080) with a leopard pattern of small black patches (#000019), 61 cm long tail and the well toned musculature of an average NH-33 model Nekovalkyrja, though slightly thinner.

Eyes and Facial Features: Bright blue almond shaped eyes and a heart shaped face.

Ears: Short (2-cm long) cat-like ears, covered with white fur.

Hair Color and Style: White hair, tied back in a simple, shoulder-length braid. The braid is held in place by a small red ribbon.

Distinguishing Features: Her blue skin and tail, which are relatively rare in a Nekovalkyrja and a bad habit of hovering in the air when thinking hard about something.

Personality: Very friendly, Skade likes to talk to her fellow crew members while she works, asking questions while she works on her current project. She also volunteers for every special assignment…every single one of them. This has gotten her into situations which she has learned many things… like how much she hates cleaning the environmental systems of a ship. She is also a slight hypochodriac, despite the many discussions she has had with her teachers about her body's abilities, so she keeps her station as clean as possible. She stays busy during her off time, studying engineering textbooks so she can be more prepared to do her shipboard duties, so she hasn't done too much exploring in the realms of romance yet, except with a certain lizard. She also cares about how she looks, having grown her tail when the opportunity presented itself early in YE 37 and bought a pair of Type 32 heels to look her best when she reports to her first assignment.

Skade was created by the Star Army of Yamatai as a soldier in YE 36.

Once set loose upon the unsuspecting world, Skade realized that she loved to help people. Even when they didn't want her to. Whether it was answering every question in class or volunteering to clean the toilets, (she regretted that later) the Nekovalkyrja saw everything as a problem to be solved and a game to be won. During her first 98 days, she realized that her personality lended itself nicely to the technical challenges of engineering and so she applied for training as a Star Army Technician. During her training, Skade was highly impressed by a weapons demonstration of a Ke-B3-W3000 Main Weapon Array in its Aether Shock Array mode. After that, she felt like it was her calling in life to help build and design those types of weapons in the future. She did well in her classes, studying hard and getting certified as a technician after 6 months. She then waited to be assigned to a ship and was left to daydream about her future.

Skade's first ship was the YSS Heartbreaker, a scout ship on a long patrol on the mission to find the mysterious Uesu's Fleet. After making a fool of herself in front of the rest of the crew, thankfully besides the Captain, she was thankful for the chance to prove herself on an away mission, though she thought it was annoying that they weren't able to take along their power armor, on the orders of the Taii. Though there were a few rough patches of confusion and first time out jitters, she was helpful in taking down a Crab-type Mishhu, and in the process falling in love with the Aether-Saber.

The Neko's adventures on the Heartbreaker continued, this time with mixed results. On the good side, she helped with distracting the Thoot I'ee vessels that had been harassing the I'ee & Vekimen ambassadors and took down a ship with her trusty Aether-Saber. On the bad side, she disobeyed orders and nearly got their resident SAINT operator killed. Let's just say that she didn't object when she got demoted.

Going to the next destination, the now more humble Neko helped with the exploration of a derelict Ayame-class Cruiser. After getting sidetracked into the ship's Engineering Bay due to the XO getting knocked unconscious by a prototype Uesu android, Kinzoku no Byakko. After managing to find Rin alive, Skade worked with Edtoto, the Vekimen ambassador who decided to stick with the ship, used the ship's computer system to disable the android as it was about to kill said alien. After the Taii subverted the android's programming to bring it to heel, the group returned to the Heartbreaker, with a new robot buddy in tow.

Skade got closer to the lizard after that, like biblically knew her close, also like half of the ship unbeknownst to her. Though she got swayed from a Vekimen rendition of Aethersperm and massages. Ahh, naive Nekos can be so much fun.

Star Army Common Skills

After basic training, Skade got trained and certified to become a Star Army Technician. She was taught how to use the repair equipment aboard Star Army vessels and know where the Standard Damage Control Station and Star Army Tool Locker are located, how to conduct damage control through investigation and identification of damage, how to repair that damage with Molecure Tape and Portable Repair Kit (depending on time available), and do general upkeep and repair of Power Armor and shuttles.

During her adventures on the Heartbreaker, the Neko came to really like the Aether-Sabre, using it in both ground combat against a Mishhu crab and I'ee mining ships. She's rather reckless, liking to move fast into combat and not always thinking about the consequences of her actions, which has burned her in the past.

The technician became a lot better at hacking in her time on the Heartbreaker. From working with alien computers (though it was Star Army compatible…thanks Uesu) to sending viruses to rampaging androids, she really likes to learn more about computers in general. Maybe its the computer that is her brain? Who knows.

During her probation, Skade learned how to wash dishes, vacuum up debris, and other janitorial duties both effectively and efficiently. She also knows how to give good massages, due to some free lessons back in basic and practicing with Edtoto.
