She feels nearly every sensation in excess, making her a particularly dramatic and impulsive woman, especially pertaining to romance, love, and sex. Given her extreme youth, her ability to perceive nuance is lacking, making her especially prone to outbursts if something or someone confuses her. Nevertheless, she is also highly driven and motivated. She adheres to a rigorous workout and training routine, which she executes in order to improve her reflexes, reaction time, and physical strength so that she can pass the Basic Pilot Course and become a starfighter pilot.

Rowena Fay was created on Nataria in YE 41. Designated to become a civilian factory worker in order to bolster the production of Zesuaium for the Kuvexian War effort, Rowena was initially sent to Central Uesureya to work in the Zesuaium factories. However, after seeing a formation of Hayabusas flying over Central Uesureya during her first day of training, Rowena opted to enlist in the Star Army instead, with the goal of becoming a fighter pilot. After completing basic military training, Rowena immediately signed up for the Basic Pilot Course. However, since she was unable to match the more accelerated reflexes of her Nekovalkyrja peers, she was transferred to a different course in order to train as a Gunner. In spite of her extreme disappointment at her failure, Rowena managed to score high marks in her training, particularly for marksmanship and surprisingly, given her theatrical tendencies, trigger discipline.

After she graduated from training, Rowena was assigned to the 17th Strategic Bomber Group. Although she was proud of herself for passing her Basic Gunner Course, Rowena still maintained her ultimate goal of becoming a starfighter pilot. Soon, after continued effort, Rowena earned her first billet as a full pilot, with her assignment to the YSS Azalea II in YE 44.
