Med Labs

The Rescue package includes two fully stocked med labs right off the main hall from the rear bays. Using the standard Sakura-type Medical Laboratory as a base, these are set up to quickly accept casualties with clear paths for armored personnel and patients on stretchers to be moved to operations tables, Hemosynthetic Reconstruction Tube, or long term hospital beds. The hospital beds are derived from the Star Army Bunk Bed, Type 40 but with the addition of medical monitoring equipment and mounting points for IVs. Additionally, each lab has four environmentally sealed operating theaters prepared for all manner of emergency surgical procedures. They are individually climate controlled and are home to a wide variety of diagnostic and surgical tools. Also the med labs have their own backup power. To reduce crew workloads, each med lab has an Ke-J1-E3103 - Autonomous Surgical Medicine Unit (ASMU) unit.

Morgue

Sadly despite their best efforts, sometimes patients die. The morgue facility is a rather small freezer that can be used to store bodies for autopsies or until the STed person or their next of kin authorize disposal.

Passenger Quarters

The Rescue package uses a Star Army Half-Century Barracks (Plumeria Type) and two MFY Type 30 Standard Enlisted Bunkroom1) to house mission elements. The quarters are somewhat cramped, but they allow for a more flexible number of personnel. Bunk assignments are decided by seniority or simple gentlemen's agreements, with most soldiers preferring the four person bunks. Usually if not all of the barracks style bunks are taken, those beds are stowed and the space is used for storage or recreation.

Squad Room

Inspired by similar rooms in the Kyaa-class Search and Rescue Vessel2), the squad room consists of a briefing room where teams can prepare for missions and familiarize themselves with the most up to date intelligence. The room includes a podium with controls for the large viewscreens and volumetric displays as well as surround sound and twelve chairs facing the presenter.

Volumetrics Room

Rescue Jumpers are very much people who prefer to drill until scenarios are second nature. The lack of space in the Kyaa prevented them from performing elaborate training exercises or mission rehearsals. When given a chance to suggest features for the Rescue module, there was near unanimous support for including a volumetrics room. The room’s primary function is training, but when no trainings are scheduled, the room is free for off duty soldiers to use for recreation and entertainment.
