The White Silk hotel was originally established to provide temporary accommodations for transitory civilians on Libra Star Fortress. However, before the station went online, the proposal to make it a full-service hotel was presented and approved. It gets its name from how the lobby is decorated. A person entering the hotel steps into a two story room with synthetic marble columns. The outer walls are covered in long flowing white silk curtains. The idea was to hide the view of the concourse, while giving the room an organic feel with the fabric. Around the base of the two columns are floral arrangements, and a water fountain is present on the left side. All rooms are equipped with a STATCOM Network terminal.
