Katsumi Mei is a player character played by Archander.

Build and Skin Color: Mei has a curvy light mocha tan, slightly pear shaped figure with wide set hips and powerful thighs. She is lightly toned, with firm and sultry features.

Eyes and Facial Features: Mei has deep, dark, and mysterious emerald green almond shaped eyes with a somewhat button like nose and full average size lips framed by a heart shaped face.

Ears: Her ears are outward swept and slightly longer than typical Neko ears, covered in extremely soft jet black fur.

Hair Color and Style: She has luscious jet black hair that extends down to the middle of her back, with three small braids - one at the top of her head and one on either side - that she keeps pulled back along with the rest of her hair.

Distinguishing Features: Piercing green eyes, a winding arm length genetic tattoo that starts from the tip of her right shoulder and extends down to the back of her hand of a beautiful black rose. The vine is purple and black with thorns, wrapping around her arm a full seven times before blooming into a gorgeous black flower with purple accents.

Personality: Mei tends to be quiet and reserved, choosing to watch and observe those around her while maintaining her cautious guard. To her trust is something earned not deserved, and as such it is often perceived that she is cold and rigid. This coupled with a temper that sometimes seems all too easy to ignite tends to proceed her as her most often given first impression to others.

Should one manage to get her to warm she proves to be caring and even compassionate. Often unspoken, and equally rarely reaffirmed, Mei regards those close to her or that have earned her trust to be as family. For those few souls, Mei would give everything she had to protect them, or perhaps even sacrifice her life.

Originally created as an NH-29, Katsumi Mei started out her career in the Star Army of Yamatai as an engineer serving aboard starships and making sure everything ran in tip top shape, or made repairs as necessary. Her knack for being able to figure out ways to squeeze better performance out of different systems without endangering a ship's crew has proven to be an asset more than a few times.

Also during her time in the SAoY, she began to develop her fighting abilities to be more versatile and useful overall. It was during this time she discovered her love of knives and more namely, daggers. As she grew more and more proficient, Mei noticed she had acquired a bit of a name for herself, partly due to the tattoo on her arm as well as for being as formidable in combat as she was beautiful. Pirates within the sector, and soon even those she served with began to call her the “Black Rose”. After which she requested and was granted her twin daggers, Kage no Toges, or Thorns of Shadows as well as an upgrade to an NH-33 body.

Shortly before the end of her third year during a shore leave, there was a chance encounter with a high ranking individual from Origin Industries' Security division in a bar on Kyoto. The two hit it off, with Mei realizing she wanted to experience things outside of the Star Army of Yamatai, a chance to see the stars and continue making a name for herself. Having completed her term of service, Mei decided to pay Origin Industries a visit on soon found herself on their payroll as a Combat Engineer for OriSec.

Mei is proficient at all Star Army Common Skills thanks to her initial training at Fort Victory as well as her 3 years of service.

Both during her time in the Star Army of Yamatai as well as at Origin Industries, Mei has learned and refined her abilities to design, modify, and maintain various weapon and starship systems and components.

Over the years, Mei has improved upon her close range combat skills and is highly capable of defending herself and anyone she's assigned to protect. She is well trained with most firearms and can pilot Power Armors with greater than average skills. She prides herself on her use of bladed weapons, especially her daggers.

Mei is highly proficient with computer systems, especially those running the Kessaku OS. In addition to being able to enter, encrypt and decrypt information sent or received, Mei is also a pretty decent hacker.

With her heightened Nekovalkyrja agility as well as fervently honed skills, Mei is quite capable of hiding her presence and entering or exiting places undetected. She is also well versed in sleight of hand with applied charm/seduction, leaving none the wiser.

Thanks to years of tinkering while ship bound in the Star Army of Yamatai, Mei is decently proficient in maintaining and repairing various ship based systems as well as weapons and power armor. Recently, she'd begun learning how to repair vehicles of Origin Industries design.
