Come the turn of YE 30, the Star Military of the Democratic Imperium of Nepleslia decided to reorganize its ground forces in attempt to increase effectiveness. Master General Pryos Thrull Westwood was tasked with creating the new system by which his Marines could abide.

The most influential and far-reaching organization in the entire Nepleslian military, First Army soldiers are both veterans of determined skill, and new recruits who've shown great potential for the safe-guarding of their nation. “Big Green 1”, as it has come to be known, has units all over the Imperium, and is unique in having no concrete ties with any fleet. Its HQ is in the Nepleslian Capital City, Funky City. Its commanding officer, Pyros Thrull Westwood, is currently on probation pending a Central Corps ruling. It currently lacks a CO and XO until Westwood's situation has been resolved. Marines are currently commanded by a small tribune of Field Marshalls, who have for the most part given control over to the Navy.
