VOID "Calamity" Upgrade Package

The Void β€œCalamity” Upgrade Package is a package of upgrades and updates for the NAM Advanced Tactical Armorsuit - "VOID", developed in YE 41 by Nepleslian Arms and Munitions for the Star Military of the Democratic Imperium of Nepleslia. The Calamity package is a comprehensive upgrade of the VOID, with complete replacement and updates to its propulsion, electronics, and armament.

Development History

The Calamity Upgrade Package is a long overdo upgrade of the VOID, intended to rectify issues in the supply chain caused by its eclectic armament and generally outdated electronics systems. Both because it was needed to be done, and because war with the Interstellar Kingdom Of Kuvexia began to look like an inevitability. The Calamity upgrade is a comprehensive reworking of the VOID, then, to bring it up to fully modern standards and better integrate it into the Nepleslian supply chain.

Armor

The armor of the VOID is upgraded with the Calamity Package, with Leptonium added to the external armor layer atop the Durandium Alloy base layer alongside the extant Nerimium.

Dual-Stage Hyperspace Tap Drive

The Calamity Package upgrades the VOID's old plasma drives, repalcing them with a fully integrated NAM Dual-stage Hyperspace Tap Drive. With common spare parts and higher performance constrasted with larger size, the DHTD is a total improvement over the old plasma drive.

Black Veil Suite

Developed precisely for this purpose, the Na-M/V-E4100 Black Veil Electronic Warfare Suite is Nepleslia's best, most technologically advanced and capable Electronic Warfare suite. Replacing earlier suites and systems, the Black Veil is a robust system capable of:

  • Detecting and warning a pilot of incoming guided weapons and targeting sensors
  • Multi-spectrum electronic warfare, both in jamming and disrupting enemy electronics and in breaking through the jamming of the enemy
  • A robust cyberwarfare suite
  • Numerous active defenses such as laser jammers, chaff, flares, and smoke dispensers to protect against guided weapons and target locks.
  • Stealth capability by way of the Mass Mesher and Energy Mesher devices.

Communications Suite

The NA-M11-E3600 Chatterbox Communications Array is mounted to the VOID as part of the package, centralizing and improving the armor's communications systems.

Sensors

The Calamity Package includes a complete Na-M/V-E3800 "OmniEye" Sensor System sensor suite to support and augment the armor's existing Monoeye.

Self Repair

Using the space saved by the switch to using the DHTD for propulsion, the Calamity Upgrade Package was free to incorporate a NAM Nano-Constructor System. Not intended to repair the VOID's armor or allow it to fight on indefinitely like some kind of monster machine, the NCS instead is meant to perform day to day, minute to minute maintenance and repairs on the VOID's internal systems to extend their useful service life, and by extension reduce the amount of repairs and spare parts the armorsuit would need.

Armaments

The restructuring of the VOID's armament is possibly the most significant change to the Armor as part of this upgrade package, a wide reaching change that sees out of date weapons replaced and new ones impleneted of plentiful ammunition stocks:

Additionally, additional weapons storage space has been given to the VOID through this upgrade, allowing it to carry an additional primary handheld weapon attached to its backpack.
