A Murasaki Keiretsu Subsidiary

The MT-G2-G3500 Flexible Navitium Power Cell is a specialized electrical storage medium designed for use in a consumer goods and electronic devices that require relatively low power outputs, but because of their narrow physical dimensions are unable to utilze standard Class-3 sized power cells. They are manufactured by Murasaki Technologies and first became available for purchase in YE 36.

MT-G2-G3500 Flexible Navitium Power Cell

The MT-G2-G3500 Flexible Navitium Power Cell is a flat gridwork of microscopic navitium-based superconductor coils and broadcast power receivers encased in a flexible and durable polymer. These specialized power cells are intended to efficiently store large amounts of electrical energy for an effectively unlimited time period for devices like MT-G2-1A Flexible Computer Terminals and other forms of 'smart paper', clothing and close-fitting garments with integrated electronic devices that require electrical energy.

As with its cousin the Class-3 Navitium Power Cell, the devices interior includes small broadcast power receivers which allow the power cell to be recharged either through use of an induction pad, remotely by a broadcast power field array, a combined field system (CFS) or similarly compatible energy field projection technology.

As with other Navitium-based power cells, the MT-G2-G3500 Flexible Navitium Power Cell will become unstable when subjected to weapons fire. In those circumstances, the superconductive coils inside the power cell will undergo spontaneous nuclear fission, exploding and releasing a short but intense burst of radiation in a radius of about 1 meter (Tier 2, Medium Anti-Personnel and minor radiation poisoning).
