The MS-L1-C3404 Maintenance Conduits are structural sub-elements of starships and stations and are utilized in the MS-L1-H3400 - Durandium-Kurokotetsu Structural Framework construction methodology. This design element first began to see use in YE 34.

About MS-L1-C3403 Standard Corridors

MS-L1-C3404 Maintenance Conduits are primarily constructed of Durandium Alloy, and are used by station or starship crew to gain access to systems and out-of-the-way areas of the ship for the purposes of maintenance, modification or repair. Periodically placed within the conduits are artifical gravity generators, inertial dampeners, lighting and environmental air ducts in order to make the conduits habitable for crew.

Access into or out of these maintenace conduits is typicall accomplished by means of pressure hatches.
