Transparent Durandium, also known as nanophase Durandium Alloy or Durandium-T, is a transparent variant of the light armor material, developed by NAM in early YE 30. It is essentially the same material as Durandium, and thus, a combination of complex carbon allotropes and high grade aluminum, but with a grain (the grain being the smallest unit of the entire Aluminum/Carbon structure) size that is lower than or equal to 100 nanometers. It should be noticed that the material rapidly degrades with damage, and loses its transparent properties after a few strong blasts from energy weapons.
