This is a page listing all the specific variants of the NAM Terratech Multi-Role Cavalry Armor-"Nomad". While each variant comes with built-in weapons or utilities the armor has any number of additional customization options

An alternate version of the Nomad exists in the form of the commander variant available to squad, team, or unit leaders. The commander variant shares an almost identical silhouette to the base version with the exception of its helmet which is colored an alternate black from the base gray and has protruding nodes and an antenna spike mohawk.

The commander variant is more than just a slightly different aesthetic, however. The commander frame has access to a more powerful and advanced sensor and communications package to give them a broader and more tactical view of the battlefield and allow them to communicate with not only their team or squad but also other team or squads that have a commander frame with advanced and encrypted frequencies.

The commander frame also sports an advanced warfare package in their helmets HUD that allows them to not only know the position of their forces but that of allied and known enemy forces on a much broader scope than the base units might have access to, and can be updated and given orders from higher command elements in realtime.

A larger and more robust version of the Nomad that is upscaled to fit the larger species of half SOL and even full sized ID-SOL. The variant is more than just a larger version, however. Its increased size make it have not only thicker armor but more powerful servos to handle a SOL's increased strength making it just as strong as it is durable.

The added size and bulk that increase the armor of the suit by an entire order of magnitude also has the added downside, however, of making the armor slower and heavier.

The Sol-variant of the nomad comes with the following by default:

• NAM Rapid Launcher Missile System - 8-cell launcher, Left shoulder

There is no commander variant of the ID-SOL issue Nomad.

Designed for use by Tech Specialist, the TS variant of the Nomad comes with more remote integration towards sofphisticated technology that its user can take advantage of.

Equipped with a servo arm, tech pack, and other utilities the TS variant of the Nomad does not trade any survivability for utility and is just as capable as any other variant.

The TS variant of the Nomad comes with the following by default:

A variant tailored to the Nepleslian Star Navy is available. The variant trades the default green and black for an NSN blue and black. The color change isnt the only change from the norm as the back of the suit has a pre-installed NAM Dual-stage Hyperspace Tap Drive booster as well as additional maneuver thrusters on the suit to increase its mobility in space.

Additionally the NSN variant comes pre-loaded not only with anti radar chaff projectors but also hyperspace tap flare launchers on its legs.

A commander variant Nomad is available for the NSN variant.

The NSN issue nomad is the default nomad variant offered to NSMC or NSN personnel on exchange with the Star Army of Yamatai due to its increased space-flight capabilities.

A variant tailored to the needs of the Intelligence and Pacification Group exists. The suit does away with any detailing and is completely black and gray in color. The armor also has a layer of Zanarium that while energy-intensive is offset by the installation of a dedicated NAM Ultra Compact Fusion Generator to lower the energy cost to a manageable degree and can also be relied on to mask the pressence of aether generation from the antimatter batteries.

The IPG issue variant also comes with a Na-M/V-E4100 Black Veil Electronic Warfare Suite system which includes a pre-coated layer of NAM Fluctuating Pigmentation Coating "Snakeskin".
