The MT-G3-E3504 Quantum Datachip is a form of digital data storage media designed for use in conjunction with a variety of electronic devices. They are manufactured by Murasaki Technologies and first became available for purchase in YE 36.

MT-G3-E3504 Quantum Datachip

The MT-G3-E3504 Quantum Datachip is a form of digital data storage media that utilizes quantum data 'qubits'; individual atoms harnessed to represent bits of information. Despite their diminuitive size, datachips are able to store a staggering amount of data and they are often used to store things as innocuous as entertainment vids, starcharts and music, in addition to more important data like the brain scans performed by a soul transfer device, ship and weapon schematics, in addition to other classified material.

In order to access the data contained within a datachip, a MT-G3-E3505 Quantum Datachip Drive connected to an appropriate information terminal is required.
