About the MT-G3-E3501 Radio Transceiver

MT-G3-E3501 Radio Transceiver

The MT-G3-E3501 Radio Transceiver is a communications system designed to broadcast and receive data through the use of radio waves. Like all other radio communication devices manufactured by Murasaki Technologies, the MT-G3-E3501 incorporates spread-spectrum technology with which communications clarity and reliability can be significantly improved – this is done by distributing the signal over a range of frequencies during transmission. Also, through the use of frequency hopping the location of the transmitter can be made intentionally harder to detect and trace to its source.

Typically, the MT-G3-E3501 is designed for use in small hand-held devices like communicators and computers which require wireless radio uplinks. Like any other radio transceiver, the effectiveness of this device can drop exponentially in heavily urbanized and underground environments, reducing the maximum range of such devices by as much as 90%. The range can also be reduced by a similar amount when transmitting audio-visual signals in real-time.

Many communication signal varieties – including radio – can also propagate beyond the listed β€œeffective” range, but these transmissions are much more difficult to detect and comprehend. Also, as with most other forms of long-distance communication, it should be noted that while transmitting large files the chosen rate of data transfer with the transmitter can be an important factor in determining the devices effective range. Repeating the same data several times increases the length of time it takes to send specific information and lowers the effective data transfer rate, but does provide a significant boost to the effective broadcast range as compensation: 1/4 speed approximately doubles the range; 1/100 speed multiplies the range by approximately 10, and 1/10,000 speed multiplies the range by approximately 100. This is a technique that is commonly used for deep-space transmissions.
