The Shield Booster system is a secondary shield amplification system designed for the NAM Terratech Multi-Role Cavalry Armor-"Nomad" to fill one of its chest Nomad Hardpoint Options.

The shield booster is a power-amplification system which, when installed inside a Nomad power armor can be triggered to amplify the armors shields to an incredible extent to not only increase their durability and sustainability but also extend its reach in a bubble around the armor to create a type of fortress-shield around the armor for several meters protecting the pilot, the armor, and anyone else around.

The shield is powered by four dedicated NAM Antimatter Battery which trigger all at once to super-charge the shield systems for a limited time. When the batteries depleate they must be recharged and are effectively spent for the durration of an operation until they can be connected back to a Checkmate Aether Reactor or spend the days necessary to recharge on their own.

The shield booster takes primary posession of the armors power capacity and hence locks the armor static in place, unable to move while in use. Once it is used it is depleted entirely until recharged after a mission.
