The bridge of a Hummingbird-class Colony Ship is a single deck situated below the observation and briefing deck in the main superstructure stack. The deck is divided by a raised aft platform where the communications, science and payload control stations are located. A clear transparent shield forms a semi circle behind the captain and first officer chairs/panels. Generally behind the captain's chair the fleet logo is placed. Sleek metal railings curve around the forward part of the platform opening only for the 3 sets of stairs (center, port and starboard), each with four stairs leading down to the lower platform. The lower area holds the ship's helm, tactical and remaining necessary stations.

In the 'B' Refit all stations were made primarily accessible through SPINE interface, and secondary control panels were installed for crew members not able to use SPINE.
