Phaeton is the second planet in the Murf system. It is habitable with comfortable gravity and a cool climate.

This small, abandoned starport was once owned by a corporation and had a population of 128. In addition the landing area it still has a crane system and a set of carts on rails that lead to a set of warehouses, repair facilities, a small hospital, a bed and breakfast, and a coffee shop…all left behind when the company pulled out in YE 36 due to lack of business.

Overall the starport is like a dance club in appearance, with glowing lines and black ceilings. The power systems are still running (but in standby mode). Sometimes the abandoned starport is used by pirates who aren't marked as hostile by the Star Army, which defends the star system. They are very careful not to arouse Yamatai's suspicions or ire.

There used to be a Frontier Fort on Phaeton, but the Star Army packed it up and took it away to Talori in YE 38, leaving only a Frontier Starport for Star Army of Yamatai vessels. It is named Fort Phaeton.
