Due to Kyousou's remote location and small size, they operate their own local police force. The police force cooperates with the Vela Prefecture Police.

The Kyousou police department has a total of thirty-eight officers including the Chief of Police. This is roughly 2.5 officers per thousand citizens.

Keikan (けいり) - means Police Officer in Yamataian.

The Tamahagane Clan representing the largest portion of the population, has as part of the Clan's sense of civic duty always contributed to the KPF.

In YE 33, the Tamahagane Corporation continuing in that tradition donated 24 EM-K4-2a "Zephyr" Law Enforcement Air Car and eight Junsa armor. They also supplied each officer with an EM-G9-2A Work Flashlight Kit.

In YE 34, the Tamahagane Corporation donated ten EM-O1 "Tadayou" Series Drones to the KPF.
