The Type 34 Field Ration is a low-cost meal kit used by the NMX beginning in YE 34.

As the Second Mishhuvurthyar War dragged on into YE 34, the NMX began to seek ways to further reduce the drain on its resources. With Sprufnikkamazzar dead after the Battle of Yamatai, the NMX's future was uncertain and many Nekovalkyrja troops found themselves under leaders that view them more as conscripts than professional soldiers. Consequently, standards of living for them became increasingly deplorable and food quality suffered. The simple NMX Field Rations, Type 31 were re-examined and streamlined. Instead of using cans, it was determined to use vacuum-sealed plastic packets designed to be eaten from without utensils or heating.

All of the items below are contained in a tan cloth bag with a spork symbol hastily-printed, stamped, or hand-drawn on it in black marker. The bags are also marked with the date and location of manufacture. Inside, each bag contains:

• Cooked Sausage (rectangular) in a plastic packet.
• Box of nutrient-enriched cereal (one of the following):
  • Cornbread cookies with honey or lemon jelly packet.
  • Puffed corn nuggets coated in peanut butter
• A small packet of pickled peppers (spicy)
• 3 paper tissues
