Honeycomb Fabricator

In ye_40 Galactic Horizon delved deeper into the field of nanotechnology with the Honeycomb Fabricator, a self-contained aether-powered nanobot fabricator that converts energy into matter. Multiple Honeycombs may be used in tandem to increase efficiency via spreading out workloads.

Price: 1,000KS per unit
Nomenclature: GH-U7-1A
Weight: 1.5kg

Function

The Honeycomb contains a combined fabricator/processor (referred to as the “Queen Bee” for the swarms of nanobots it creates and orders around) in its center; around the fabricator/processor are three storage tanks that contain its nanobots. The purpose of these nanobots varies depending on whatever product they are instructed to synergise with various fail-safes are built in to prevent a grey goo scenario from occurring; additionally, the Honeycomb is incapable of fabricating exotic materials like zesuaium.

A Honeycomb can construct up to 6 cubic centimeters’ worth of nanobots per second.

Appearance

The Honeycomb is a black reuleaux triangle that is 15cm tall, 15cm wide, and 1.75cm thick. It has a sturdy center yet flexible sides and appears to have a rubber finish.

Availability

Due to the somewhat sensitive and complicated nature of the Honeycomb Fabricator's internals, it is only available either directly through Galactic Horizon, their affiliates, or higher-end electronics stores.

Recommended Retail Price: 1,000KS/refer to here for currency exchange

*Disclaimer: No matter where the unit is sold or fabricated, the components have a Galactic Horizon watermark engraved into them.
