The Black Rose Anti-Material Rifle is a custom rifle Rose Ironhart-Pine designed especially for her wife Sarah Pine in YE 40. It had a limited run produced for sale as a premium item by Section 6. However, in YE 42, was brought back in full and continually produced by Black Wing Enterprises, still as a commercially premium rifle.

In YE 39, Rose Ironhart-Pine wanted to create a rifle that her wife would get excellent use out of and meet her high performance standards. Therefore, after over a week - and with lots of love - she created the Black Rose, a .50cal rail assisted anti-material rifle, and presented it to her wife Sarah Pine, who accepted the now prized possession with joy.

Multiple weapons technology advancements were made in the construction of the weapon, including a quad-rail system that allowed lower voltages and higher amperages to be used, requiring less actual power to impart kinetic force on a round, and produce high velocity with a short barrel.

In YE 43, the NDC Ground Forces "Duskerian Legion" adopted this weapon as its anti-materiel rifle for troops not using powered armor.

The Black Rose is a rugged and angular beauty. Every part is new and clearly handcrafted with care, precision, and quality. The barrel is long and ends in the front at a hexagonal muzzle break. The body is a combo of rectangular and hexagonal shapes. Where the barrel meets the receiver is the recoil mitigation system and gas block; next is the receiver, which has a hexagonal shape except for where the bolt and charging handle are located, which looks more rectangular. The lower portion of the weapon is rectangular and features an elegant looking box magazine with capacity lighting that displays the current round level on the sides of the mag via how high the light is filled. Atop the receiver is a very advanced scope and a high-quality digital display; finally, the weapon's stock is somewhat blocky and comes with a rounded buffer pad to rest against the user's shoulder when aiming.

• Muzzle Flash: Due to the special muzzle break, the muzzle flash consists of a brief and faint flash of orange that spills out from the side vents of the muzzle break. If equipped with its suppressor, there is no flash.
• Retort: Without its specially-made suppressor attached, the rifle makes a loud and audible crack.
  • Projectile/Beam Appearance: There is generally a very faint vapor trail from released gases that follow the path of the round for the first couple of feet. The projectile itself is unseen unless loaded with tracers.

Below is the information on the internal workings of the Black Rose.

• Firing Mechanism: The rifle uses a repeating bolt that is cycled via a blowback gas piston system. A round is chambered when the bolt handle is racked back all the way and released to slam the round home. Once fired, the round is sent sailing down the barrel due to the igniting of the propellant in the rifle cartridge and the round's velocity is accelerated via magnetic coils integrated into the barrel. The released gases are funneled back into the gas block which then cycles the bolt to strip a new round from the magazine until the magazine is emptied.
• Loading: A box magazine is loaded with the rounds, and the magazine is loaded into the rifle. A round is then stripped and chambered.
• Mode Selector: There is an ambidextrous switch on either side.
• Firing Modes: Semi, Safe, or Full Auto.
• Safety Mechanism: A biometric safety is installed into the grip and will not fire if the weapon is not held by the grip or the hand holding the weapon does not match a registered user. Alternatively, there is a manual lever style switch above the grip which locks the bolt.
• Weapon Sight: The Black Rose's scope features 8x magnification, multi-spectrum optics, and a target tracking/windage adjustment function. A rangefinder is installed in the top of the scope setup.
