Emiko, a comparatively small elysian compared to the average, stands at a tiny 4’11 ft.. She has a fair looking complexion, her face much softer than the angular look of most in her species, deviating from the typical elysian with a more rounded profile. While she isn't impressive in terms of her height, Emiko is a decently capable Elysian thanks to the military training she received. One of Emiko's most identifying features is her heterochromia, a genetic quirk that causes her to have eyes of different hues. Her right eye captivates with a soft light blue, while her left eye is a warm hazel brown. Her eyes are fairly wide and round, allowing them to be much more expressive. Emiko's natural hair is a dull shade of brown, however, she opted to dye her hair to a forest colored green using traditional methods rather than resorting to gene modification, fearing more judgment from the rest of her species. Adding onto Emiko's rather small frame are her non-functional Plebeian wings. Her wings are a light green with some white feathers mixed in. Each has an approximate wingspan of four feet, falling very short of providing the necessary lift for the Elysian plebeian to fly. Emiko’s most identifying feature is her cybernetic implants for her communication system, which are two stubby metallic connections on her cheeks. These connections magnetically attach to a larger mask-like device, which covers her mouth and her nose. The mask has little vents on each side with some passive ventilation to keep her comfortable.

With a complicated childhood that has left her constantly on edge, Emiko is a quiet and rather anxious Elysian. Her usual demeanor is highlighted by a heightened sense of paranoia and jumpiness. Her constantly nervous state is often counteracted by an insatiable curiosity, which originally led to her innate interest in sciences. Emiko is rather shy and reserved, her nervous and quiet nature a defense mechanism shaped by a challenging childhood. Growing up as a mute Elysian with cybernetic implants, an uncommon condition not curable via genetic manipulation, she faced unique communication hurdles and harsh judgment from her peers, with cybernetics being considered taboo by most Elysians.

Emiko Amaterasu was born on YE 21.2.14 on the planet Elysia Novus, born a product of two Elysian Scientists just before the Fourth Elysian War with Yamatai. Her muteness was apparent from a young age, a mental disability preventing the Elysian from articulating correctly. This led to the mute being ostracized as a young child, and being quite isolated from other Elysian youth. The young Elysian pursued science both as an escape from her chaotic life, and to satiate her ever growing curiosity. She received cybernetic implants at age 14, allowing her to speak with an electronic voice. Finally able to communicate, she continued her studies now with more ease, although her implants led to further criticism and judgment from the rest of her species, which viewed cybernetics as a violation of the integrity of the Elysian body. Her parents would eventually move to Yamatai due to employment reasons, where Emiko would continue her education with exceptional diligence. Eventually Emiko pursued a career as a science officer on the Star Army of Yamatai, going through basic training and attending to the Star Army Academy for her degree, eventually graduating and becoming a Shoi.

Emiko applies her knowledge of art to draw up blueprints and plans based on her scientific research to procure solutions for problems.
