Faraday Terrence is a player character played by Shadow.

Build and Skin Color: Despite plenty of time in the sun and doing construction-based exercise, Terrence remains a pale and scrawny individual. Despite all appearances, he is still physically fit and passes any requirement the NSMC has on marines.

Eyes and Facial Features: Terrence has dark brown eyes with an upturned shape to them. High cheek-bones are set upon his face with a sharp chin, a winning smile with thin lips, and a pointed nose.

Ears: Terrence's ears are fairly rounded with nothing particularly special jumping out at anyone.

Hair Color and Style: Terrence's dark brown hair is short on all sides, any excess hair being swept backward until he can have somebody shear that crap off.

Distinguishing Features:

Personality: Terrence is a colony boy, through and through. His family has had a profound impact on the man he is now, and that's certainly not a bad thing. His father was a gun fanatic, for example, and loved to show off what he knew to his son. Evidently, the loud “bang” a firearm makes when fired amused Little Terrence very much, seeing as he wanted to be able to do it all day.

Terrence has a bit of a soft side that he inherited from his mother. Perhaps not soft, just particularly just. She took events from around the galaxy pretty seriously, so when she hears about gangsters pushing around store-owners and the powerful hood-winking the poor, she becomes very animated and frustrated. Terrence's dislike for the Squids wasn't inherent or directly influenced by anyone. When he studied them in school, he wholeheartedly accepted what he saw as the fact that they were the enemy. The Nekoes are okay with him though, they don't try to knock you up.

Beyond all that, Terrence is a dutiful and loyal guy with a good heart and a charming stammer in his voice when nervous. He could easily be seen as an easily-excitable little brother. Or cousin, if the accent really threw you off.

Terrence's family have lived on Delsauria since the Nepsleslians took it over, among the first wave of prospective colonists to make a home out of the major city of Juhana. Terrence himself was the first-born of a middle class family Hellbent on firearms, beer, and trucks. Terrence helped bring in the money by working in a construction company at the young age of 16. It was hard but honest work and the physical strains helped prepare him for the NSMC.

It'd always been a dream of Terrence's, to join that revered group and do some good in the universe. Ever since his father had taken him out to shoot, he'd been engulfed by that wish. He always watched movies, documentaries, read books, played Virtual Reality games, anything that involved the NSMC. His mother was happy to see that she and her husband had reared a patriotic son, as her father had served as well. As soon as he was old enough to do it, he quit his job with the company and went off to the nearest recruitment center.

Terrence has a Dixie-like accent that the family never could extinguish. However, he is able to speak and read Nepsleslian fluently. He is able to apply his knowledge of this language to all requirements set to him during Basic Training.

Due to living with his crazy family his whole life, Terrence is intimately familiar with rifles especially and is quite capable of going unarmed and pulling a “Rocky” on somebody.

Terrence was beat sufficiently enough by his dutiful mother to understand the significance of doing what he's told. He understands all orders given and protocols to follow.

Reinforced by lessons from his father, Terrence has been taught how to survive in the wild without resupply. He knows how to set up fires and how to survive in cold environments. He knows what plants are edible, how to hunt down wildlife, and how to travel without electronics or a map.

Terrence had worked for a small company working on construction on his home planet. He knows how to build a sturdy house just as much as a good wall of Sandbags or a bunker. He has no interest in joining the engineers, who he figures would pull him out of any frontline fighting.

What kind of man with a country-cultured family heritage doesn't know how to drive a truck? Proven through the trial of combat that is quickly getting materials through a hostile desert environment, Terrence is an outstanding driver when it comes to driving a land vehicle.

Sometimes, buildings and various other nuisances need to be knocked down by “big boom.” Well, the company Terrence worked for did a lot of that, and they weren't picky about who did the blowing up. He has fairly limited experience with explosives.
