Essentially, a pair of glasses using volumetrice, miniature quasicrystaline computers, microphones and invisible photosensitive photovoltaic outer-layers which act as cameras and power-sources to produce an augmented reality for the wearer. While its own computational capacity is limited (close to that of a cellular telephone of today), it can be paired either wired or wirelessly with other devices as part of an individuals personal network.

Commonly, Display glasses are available in a wide variety of shapes and forms and can be added to existing frames - including goggles and visors. In addition, with surgery they can instead be implanted inside the eye of the wearer - improving natural visibility.
