When Red Sands City was established, the Nepleslian Reds began exploring and expanding into the tundra, taiga forests, and more temperate regions of Fujiko IV. Never really explorers at heart, the imperial need to acquire and exploit resources (as well as prove their worth and get wealthy) didn't stop them from stumbling and moving on once they got back on their feet. The grasslands proved to be fertile and compatible with common Nepleslian crops, the taiga and tropical rainforests were home to valuable hardy woods, and the mountainous/volcanic (current and former) regions of the planet were rich in mineral and metal wealth.

However it was quickly discovered during these prospecting expeditions that the planet was home to some rather virulent viruses and bacteria that were noval enough to cause issues to the early clone populations. While nothing that modern medicine could not solve over time, the remoteness of Red settlements and outposts made it a pain to manage. The Vishnu Type was introduced by the Athena Foundation in YE 41, address the need for on the ground medical personnel.

The Vishnu Type is distinguished by its specific physiological adaptations. These adaptations are designed to enhance their roles in support and medical fields. Known as Fengzu when their genetic template is applied to Lily Type Artificial Nepleslian.

The genetic engineering of the Vishnu Type focuses on augmenting their natural abilities to align with their roles in protection and preservation. This translates as individuals being capable of lifting 1.3 (females) and 1.5 (males) times their body mass.

This was initially the only known effects of the Vishu's genetic engineering until YE 45 it was discovered that their bodies' natural repair systems when nitrogen is introduced achieves a much quicker healing rate. This in large part helps the immune system keep inflammation and infection down by facilitating the rapid creation of amino acids for proteins needed for tissue repair. The introduction of nanites to help regulate this phenomenon further accelerates the natural process, enabling possible future augmentations such as “regeneration”.

The only problem is the enhanced immune system will readily attack the nanites, metabolizing drugs designed to suppress such rejection with ease.
