The occupation of Singer has always been a part of the Poku Saeruo Degonjo culture. Baqlii (Children) learn to sing traditional songs from an early age, and each Punla (Family), Ruoka (House) and Jael (Sect) have their own unique songs. Even Ruohui Giba'te (Academies) have songs that extol their virtues and their educational history. Most Tasba'a tend to be trained in several styles of music, composition, and performance. They can perform solo, or with Niuta'a (Musician) to accompany them. Some more gifted Tasba'a are also able to compose lyrics.
