A product of parthenogenesis, Reiko looks very similar to her mother. Reiko is lightly tanned (inherited from her grandfather) with almond shaped orange-red eyes and black hair. Described by others as having an athletic build like her mother, Reiko has human type ears. She often keeps her hair in a medium bob cut to stay within Star Army of Yamatai grooming regulations.

Unlike her mother, Reiko has developed a deep feminine Lianjia voice.

The evolution of the combination of an nascent AI inhabiting Hiroshiko and a Mishhu parasite that mistakenly merged with the AI instead of Hiroshiko, Reiko can be described by others with three words: “Cold, logical, and highly analytical”. She strives to maintan order and standards by paying attention to every piece of detail she can gather around her (perhaps something gained by the infiltrator parasite) and asking as many follow up questions to ensure she fully understands an order. She is the bane of lazy individuals across the universe and willing to forgive others that attempt to work with her.

But despite the annoying demand on others to act like she does, she does a strong sense of morality and loyalty to her crew. Where the parasite was loyal to the NMX, it came to understand the dark nature of them and the repulsive nature of its former self. She can be very vocal about her perspectives and stand up for what she believes to be right. Typically actions that ruin an orderly society that allows individuals to function within that society individually (as opposed to cogs in a wheel), she will openly oppose them.

Despite inheriting her mother's memories of technician training, Reiko's main motivation is to learn all she can about artificial intelligence and quantum computers. While she does have a desire to seek her “homeland” (the Nepleslian Reds in truth spreading malware to form the AI), she is in no rush to leave her mother and those that have earned her loyalty.

Mizumoto Reiko (choosing the ancestral name of her mother's clam) was born in YE 44 on the YSS Wakaba due to initiatives to replenish crew numbers after disappearing from the Kikyo Sector. Unbeknownist to everyone, she is also the gestalt of a NMX parasite an infiltrator inserted into Hiroshiko in an attempt to gain another “zombie” and a nascent Nepleslian Reds AI that was within her. The AI had just enough of a presence that the controlling conciousness of the parasite attempted to merge with it instead of Hiroshiko. When the new NH-33A was detected, it merged itself into the new personality matrix. An ability the AI did not initially possess due to not being NH based.

When Reiko was activated, she gained the training experience of her mother Mizumitsu Hiroshiko as a Sensors Technician. Hiroshiko taught her in her spare time on the finer details of aether engineering and other sciences Reiko was going to need. When she became of age, she was naturally placed on the engineering department of the battleship.

Due to her abrasive (but well meaning) attitude towards her fellow crewmembers, she has constantly bounced between the ranks of Santo Hei and Yonto Hei. While Reiko certainly finds it annoying, she ultimately does not mind it as she is confident everyone will come to her side of thinking and understanding eventually.

Currently her only combat experience was in the depths of the YSS Wakaba waiting for damage control actions. She did not directly participate in the fighting, much to her disappointment.

Mizumoto Reiko has the following notable skills besides her Star Army Common Skills:

Reiko is beginner of the Star Army Intelligence martial arts style of CRIED. She prefers to get her hands directly delivering damage due to a strong dislike of bladed weapons. She also spends as much time as she can honing her skill with firearms.

Reiko is familiar with the foundamentals of computer secience and structural engineering. The first was gained from her interest in studying AI and computers. The latter was learned from her mother's experiences trying to be a better overall technician.

Inheriting her mother's training, Reiko is proficent in conducting maintenance of electronics and sensor systems. She also has a basic understanding of the repair of every system found within Star Army of Yamatai equipment, from power armor to large weapon systems.

Learned from her mother in her efforts to gain greater understanding of aether power systems, Reiko has a basic understanding of aetheric science. She also has basic understanding of chemistry, metallurgy, and physics.
