Hair Color and Style: Short curled olive green colored hair that poofs out into a small afro, though is usually tamed into a bun while on duty and in combat situations.

Distinguishing Features: A black flaming star tattoo above her right breast.

Personality: Mion tried to put the popular smile and cheerfulness that many in Yamatai serve with, but just under the surface lies deep regret that she was born in the wrong nation. Finding the cultures and regulations of Yamatai to be strangling, she prefers a more wild and open life within the Democratic Imperium of Nepleslia. She tries to emulate what she's seen of Nepleslian culture through movies, shows, and books albeit with some heavy-handedness.

A major concern of hers is the possibility of being taken in for “re-socialization training.” While she'd never admit this openly, the constant feeling of being under surveillance by literally everything puts her ill at ease around her peers. She rarely trusts them beyond her what's needed to survive. The only times she feels like she can open up emotionally is during the heat of battle or a dance floor.

Mion Yamaguchi was born in YE 40 in one of the mass production facilities in the Star Army Fleet Depot located on Nataria. During her socialization training, she showed a lacking interest to many of the courtesies and culture of Yamatai but was amazed by the brash and independent depiction of Nepleslia. She barely managed to scrape by socialization training before moving onto basic training.

Through basic training, Mion excelled in combat training and survival training, secretly owing her tenacity to her growing Nepleslian sentiment. However, seeing some of the other recruits wash out for psychological reasons raised some concern that she might get sent back for reeducation. Once basic training was completed, she signed up for ranger training on the hopes of spending most of her career away from the confines of ship service or the tedium of base duties. Here she learned her aptitude for using handheld explosives and the launchers for them. Being to enjoy her service out in the wilderness away from Big Sister felt like a blessing.

Mion knows how to read, speak, and write in both Yamataigo (邪馬台語) and Trade (language) along with being able to communicate in nonverbal forms of communication like morse code and smoke signals.

Mion has received hand-to-hand combat training followed up with a rigorous training program. She also not adverse to incorporate dance moves into her fighting styles to keep any opponents off guard. She is skilled and experienced in combat both in Yamatai-like conditions and in zero-gravity, with and without weapons. Weapons she is trained in include energy pistols, knives, and power armor.

On top of more extensive training in CQC and weapons training as part of the Rangers training regimen, Mion's been trained how to handle explosives and grenades. She has shown to be adept in throwing grenades and using grenade launchers, both under-barrel and as a main weapon.

Mion has a high level of survivability in the case she is cut off away from the main force. This includes but is not limited to the creation of shelters, hunting, cooking, trapping, and other essential stealth and survival skills. She can also accurately reconnoiter and report her findings despite adverse conditions, enemy presence, and technological restrictions.

Mion has a proficient understanding of psychology, unit cohesion, mental attrition, demoralization, and psychological warfare and is expected to apply her understanding of psychology to their actions in the field for the benefit of the Star Army of Yamatai.

Mion's body is in peak physical condition due in parts to her intensive training, workout regime, and recreational dancing.

Mion has taken an extreme favor to spending her free time at dance clubs and has become highly skilled in dancing. Specifically, disco dancing. She's also knowledgeable in many Nepleslian movies.
