Amari Al-Sumed is a player character played by Soresu and is currently involved in the Bahram Wing plot.

Build and Skin Color: Amari's physical build is…decidedly feminine in curvature. Muscle tone is apparent as it should be due to Military Training, and her own innate desire to remain in shape. While her tone is there, it is only just enough to be barely noticeable, yet maintain her femininity. Her skin tone is a bit on the dusky side, along with her curves this hints at a mixture of the various Iromakuanhe bloodlines.

Facial Features and Eye Color: Amari's face hints even more of mixed heritage. From the high cheekbones to the slight, upward tilt of her almond shaped amber eyes to her pouty, dark rosy hued lips. Right down to the shape of her small, delicately sharp angled nose.

Hair Color and Style: Amari has straight, silvery grey hair kept long in cut. Her bangs are also kept long, but usually hang at an angle that somewhat obscures one of her eyes.

Distinguishing Features: Amari has her left hand tattooed in a rusty hued Henna-Style pattern. She typically has at least one small braid which she tends to put little ornaments upon on the other side of her face while the other is kept company by the majority of her bangs.

Personality: Amari is a rather down to earth girl, laid back, relaxed and generally companionable to anyone who cares to stop and give a “Hi, How're you?”. Having grown up on a crowded colony station, she had to learn accept things as they came, choosing not to waste the energy in bothering to obsess over the little things and simply make do with what you got, yet work for something better in the process. Her bed-side manner is generally quite tame, she will listen to her patient's issues, be kind, motherly, and do her best to heal their wounds. And yes, this also applies to wounds of the heart…in both contexts while off and on the battlefield.

While some may say she is a care-free person with her laid back attitude they generally just don't get the idea of, “Let's look at life and whatever issue we have at present in a different way.”

Her persona remains mostly the same while in combat situations, and she has to perform her craft in the field, but it is generally taken as being a calm, cool, collected person working to patch the person up, and move on to the next injured soul. Yes she retains those bed-side manner characteristics, but will act with much more diligence, and professionalism. She knows what happens out in the field, and after all, going in half-cocked isn't the way to get things done out there…

Nadir Srezem 'Acquaintance': Age (I'd have to ask Exhack for that one.)

Amari was born upon one of the many orbital colonies that inhabit Iromakuanhe space to Sajid, and J'hina Al-Sumed, a brother and sister who, like others of the Cohronl this was done as a means to preserve the bloodline considering their colony was small, and a suitable mate for either was not found. During the pregnancy, both opted for genetic engineering upon the fetus to ensure no abnormalities and what was best for their unborn child.

Both parents took great care when tiny Amari was born, raising her as best they could. Sajid, a doctor of no little skill or clout upon their colony. And J'hina caring for Amari while her father was away, and working upon environmental systems for Solan and Altjira. To say the least, Amari grew into a well mannered, if laid back and relaxed girl under her parent's teaching, and her own life experiences. She went to school, she learned, she gained knowledge and along the way began to question from whence her career path would blossom.

She tried several different professions, until one day she read of the Vanguard and the opportunities it offered. Two in particular caught her eye. That of the Physician and Frame Runner. Sadly, her first choice was not an overt success, while she made passing marks in the training courses for Frame combat, and operation, her motivation was lacking. After much doing, she switched to the other, that of the Physician, her father's field of expertise. As a little girl she'd secretly admired the man for his dedication, and deft hand in the area of medicine.

Perhaps it was due to the recollections of her bygone days of admiration for her father, but she excelled in the area of medicine and biology. Her personality seemed suited for the task of being a Field Physician.

After graduation, and climbing the ranks so to speak to that of a simple Lanshirin she met a man by the name of Nadir Srezem. He proved to be a suave, handsome man who swept the then younger, and naive Amari off her feet. But, just as quickly as the whirlwind of passion began, it swiftly, came to an end. This left Amari slightly frazzled over what to do about the man. Since then while she is still the rather open sort in terms of both the opposite, and same sex when it comes to matters of lust, this does not stop her from perusing a night of passion if, or when she so chooses. Granted, she's made it a habit of keeping an eye out for Nadir, wanting to repay the man for leaving her the way he did after but a single night.

But now, despite it all, and attaining the rank of Lanbalri, past life experiences, hardships, friends lost, friends gained and much more, she remains much the same.

Several years after gaining her credentials, Amari ended up upon the cold world of Mazerin in particularly the base known as Fort Jarizas within the Ghoroun Region. She was second in command of the medical ward there, having been attached to Bahram Wing as their Field Physician.

Her first mission was filled with the echos of combat that came crashing down around her ears all for the sake of protecting a single NI, while VANDR's flew, fighting off rebels, she was stuck on the ground. The unforgiving environment only served to intensify the situation around her as she was forced to leave the safety of her vehicle to attend a downed squadron member ducking and dodging potential fire or the hazards of the raging battle overhead. With luck she managed to save her patient, stabilizing her for transport and eventually better medical treatments. This however was only the first in a long string of events to transpire in the weeks and months soon after.

The thrill of her first mission still oozing its way around her mind, what downtime they had upon the So-F1-1a Vayu-class Scout Frigate that was their transport was filled with emptiness and quiet contemplations as some of their number had been overwhelmed in combat by rebel forces. Worry exuded from the rest of the wing but was short lived as they reached their destination of the capital world of Maekardan intending to drop off their cargo they had fought to protect upon Mazerin upon the orbital elevator near the world. Things took a turn for the worse as contact was lost with the tower, and surrounding colony communications around it jammed by charged particle emissions. The fleet that had been stationed around the elevator in anticipation of the arrival of their guest, and ensuing concert was also cut off. Bahram Wing were put on alert, their ship, readying for a blind fight.

VANDR launched, a single corvette following suit. With their sensor ranges cut dangerously low, anxiety was high as all around them floated debris of ships, of frames, and unidentifiable chunks of the two. The scene was horrifying the possibility and number of people killed, or injured weighed heavy on the minds of some but they pushed onward. The few of those they came across served to boost morale, in particular saving the life of the Minister of Commerce herself, and assistant, Mridula Ituri Osei a Solanii employee as well as a young frame runner named Akjit Chirimar. The devastation around them paled in comparison to the blemish upon the colony and the untold number of people who likely perished in the gruesome attack. Not long after, other members of the wing discovered the perpetrator, an unknown carrier-like craft that was along the outer edges of the battlefield regrouping its forces for another foray. With Commonwealth forces in the area depleted, all seemed lost…but then as if on cue the VANDR Wings of the three worlds had finally reached their destination; causing the enemy ship to flee and leaving those in the area to pickup the shattered pieces…

What came to pass months afterward was the beginning of likely a long campaign into the unknown reaches of space. Searching for their enemy to meet them on equal terms and settle the score.

Amari is proficient in both defensive and offensive hand-to-hand techniques as well as the use of several hand weapons, including knives, pistols, rifles and light explosives such as grenades. She is in excellent physical form, with sufficiently high endurance to survive situations such as elevated G-forces. Due to her profession in the areas of medicine, and biology, she can, given the situation be a difficult opponent, knowing the nuisances of the bodies vital, and non-vital areas intimately.

Amari has had extensive courses in the use of NI systems aboard the Organoid craft employed by the Astral Vanguard, and understands how to properly utilize her own entry ports to interface with compatible systems. The use of standard-issue electronic devices and conventional computers have also been a part of her education.

Amari is well versed in all aspects of Iromakuanhe physiology, as well as that of the species native to their home system. She has working knowledge of emergency care, surgical techniques and pharmaceuticals, and is capable of diagnosing a known illness, or figuring out ways to reduce the symptoms of an unknown one by observation. Amari is also familiar with taxonomy, xenobiology and pathology, and can classify new species and diseases based on the traits of pre-existing ones.

Amari has fairly good bedside manner due to her inherent personality, and understands some of the more important points of the human psyche. She is capable working as a personal adviser when needed, and knows how to inform patients and their associates of medical conditions in a sympathetic, professional manner.

Amari is capable of using all standard communications found in the Iromakuanhe Astral Commonwealth, in particular those employed by the Astral Vanguard. This includes laser, radio and MASC-enhanced variations in various formats and media. She is fluent in Saalsari and Haidasari, and can speak, read and write them correctly. She can communicate clearly even while under fire or in other unnerving situations.

Likely due to her mother's profession of environmental technologies, but the area of Horticulture piqued Amari's interests long before she enlisted in the Vanguard. While still thinking herself amateurish at best, she has in fact successfully bred, and cultivated several species of plants, even keeping a 'pet' Salcra Bush which she keeps around for both study, and use. While this is not the limit to her skill in Horticulture, she knows full well plants offer a wonderful variety of means of possible new treatments, and solutions.

While not something that generally piques her interest in cooking for herself, she does like delicious meals. When unable to obtain one elsewhere, she resorts to cooking for herself, and due to her palate, she has attempted to hone, and refine this area of expertise. She is quite capable of cooking basic, and elaborate dishes if the need, or whim overtakes her.

As Amari humbly puts it, “It is merely a hobby of art I dabble with from time to time.” In truth, she has given the subject of Somatic Tuning long, significant thought, and attention. This, in turn led to her being rather skillful with it, considering it a form of art you might say. While she is quite skillful, she however states she has a very basic knowledge of it. In truth, this runs hand in hand with her medical knowledge which also helped in learning.
