Quantum Locking/trapping/repulsion

An expansion on the gravitic centrifuge, quantum locking is a method of holding objects in a precise position in space.

Essentially, the super-conductor locks the magnetic field around it in three dimensions, holding its position on whatever axis it is asymmetrical upon, providing varying degrees of resistance based on the amplitude and wavelength of the magnetic field, which also influence the orientation and position of the object in question. In theory, frictionless joints in machinery could be made in this way.

Important is that through the use of electrostatic inducers, a given surface can be turned into an electromagnet even if it is not magnetic, provided the inducers are close enough. What this means is that an object can be made to repulse whatever is under it, in effect allowing the object to float over the surface.
