Herja Asgeir

Herja Asgeir is an NPC controlled by GM Damaske who appears in the ISS Sobek plot.

Character Description

Herja appears to be an average NH-29 Nekovalkyrja, that is to say an attractive, slender human female with distinctive cat ears, three-fingered hands and four-toed feet with no nails. The ends of her fingers are slightly tacky and she walks gracefully with her weight centered near the front of her feet. Herja is 155cm (5ft 1in) tall and weighs 39kg (86 lbs). She has a sharp-featured face with angled chin and a narrow mouth. Herja has smooth, pale pink skin with no body hair beyond her eyebrows and long, straight, raven black hair that reaches to her waist and is normally kept in multiple small, tight braids. Herja has tangerine orange eyes with a darker rust-coloured starbust around the pupil. Her measurements are 29-24-32 and she wears a 32B size bra.

Herja is the most unusual of the Asgeir sisters. For the most part she is quiet, introverted, sometimes a little shy and mostly enjoys quiet spaces where she can be alone, often with a book. However, at the flip of a switch, Herja can turn into a vicious hellcat who lives for the thrill of violent combat and takes great joy in tormenting her enemies with bladed weaponry. Her sisters, knowing some of her triggers, have been known to take advantage of this duality when a fight is imminent. Once in 'battle mode' she is coldly efficient and a highly competent starship gunner.

When distracted, Herja has the habit of twirling her braids around a finger. If armed with throwing weaponry, she will sometimes twirl them on a finger too.

The Asgeir sisters were grown aboard a NMX Battle Carrier, the XSS Uhngetal in YE 38. Originally a dozen in number, the Asgeir batch of NMX nekovalkyrja were assigned as the gunnery crew following a manpower shortage aboard the carrier after a number of running battles and boarding actions. Herja was an excellent soldier, completing all given objectives efficiently and taking solace in the presence of her sisters. When the XSS Uhngetal was destroyed in Kuvexian Space in YE 42, Herja was saved by her older sister Eir, for which she secretly vowed to protect her older sister.

Putting more than her share of enemy bodies in the ground along the way, Herja continued to follow Eir on the search for a new home. She often acted as a bodyguard for her other sisters as the undertook their various activities, always ready to inflict violence to keep them safe. After reaching Sood Zadra, Herja did not find paying work herself, but instead kept watch over the rest of her sisters and protected them from any overly interested parties.

By YE 45, the group was ready to move on and Herja continued protecting the sisters as they sought a ship that could employ the group in their preferred capacity of gunners. Herja thought Kara's name for the group - the Superior, Independent, Nekovalkyrja GunnERy Squad, or SINGERS for short - was ridiculous, but then again, she thought even naming the group in the first place was ridiculous. Herja thoroughly agreed with Eir's decision to forbid Kara from ever naming anything ever again.
