Göndul Asgeir

Göndul Asgeir is an NPC controlled by GM Damaske who appears in the ISS Sobek plot.

Character Description

Gondul appears to be an average NH-29 Nekovalkyrja, that is to say an attractive, slender human female with distinctive cat ears, three-fingered hands and four-toed feet with no nails. The ends of her fingers are slightly tacky and she walks gracefully with her weight centered near the front of her feet. Gondul is 155cm (5ft 1in) tall and weighs 39kg (86 lbs). She has a sharp-featured face with angled chin and a narrow mouth. Gondul has smooth, pale pink skin with no body hair beyond her eyebrows and long, straight, raven black hair that reaches to her waist and is normally kept braided and wound up into a bun to keep it safely out the way. Gondul has bright, forest green eyes. Her measurements are 29-24-32 and she wears a 32B size bra.

From her earliest moments, Gondul was the most curious of the Asgeir sisters, always needing to know why something worked instead of just accepting that it did. This lead her to become the most scientifically-minded of the group and that evolved into becoming the go-to tech expert among them. Gondul is still intensely curious, passionate about learning new things and discovering new technology to explore, dissect and understand. She tends towards being highly disorganised with her personal space, but always knows where something is within her 'organised chaos'. Gondul also tends to get irritable if interrupted whilst in the middle of a task. Once in 'battle mode' she is coldly efficient and a highly competent starship gunner.

Gondul will often unintentionally talk to herself, or the object she is interacting with, while she works and occasionally will pet the object as if it is alive. She often gives items cute nicknames too.

The Asgeir sisters were grown aboard a NMX Battle Carrier, the XSS Uhngetal in YE 38. Originally a dozen in number, the Asgeir batch of NMX nekovalkyrja were assigned as the gunnery crew following a manpower shortage aboard the carrier after a number of running battles and boarding actions. Gondul never really considered her role in life, far too busy with learning how things worked and fit together to worry about morals, ethics and philosophy. When the XSS Uhngetal was destroyed in Kuvexian Space in YE 42, Gondul was saved by her older sister Eir, for which she has always been intensely grateful.

Although saddened by the loss of two more of her sisters, Gondul happily followed Eir in search of a new home. She used her tech skills where she could to help earn passage and earn their keep. After reaching Sood Zadra, Gondul was able to find occasional technical work and made some connections amongst the engineers and technicians there.

By YE 45, the group was ready to move on and Gondul was keeping an ear out on Eir's orders for a ship that could employ the group in the capacity of gunners. Gondul, although she never showed it, was highly amused at the name the group adopted and how such came to be. She would always remember the look on Eir's face when Kara told her the name she had chosen, the Superior, Independent, Nekovalkyrja GunnERy Squad, or SINGERS for short. She also found it just as hilarious that Eir then forbade Kára from ever again naming anything involving the group.
