History

Suolaifen was developed in response to a growing need for over-the-counter medications that could effectively manage mild pain and fevers without significant side effects. Advancer Enterprises recognized this gap in the market and initiated a rigorous R&D process. The drug was formulated, tested, and finally launched in YE 45 after passing all necessary clinical trials.

Usage

Suolaifen operates by inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase, thereby reducing the production of prostaglandins, which are responsible for inflammation and pain. The standard dosage for adults is one 250mg capsule every 4-6 hours, not exceeding 1500mg in a 24-hour period. For children, the dosage is adjusted according to weight and age, usually around 10-15mg/kg. It is advisable to consult a healthcare provider for precise dosing, especially for children or individuals with liver or kidney conditions.

Side Effects

While Suolaifen is generally well-tolerated, it can have some side effects. The most common are gastrointestinal issues like nausea or mild stomach pain. Less commonly, some people may experience allergic reactions, which could manifest as hives, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat. If any of these severe symptoms occur, immediate medical attention is required. Long-term use or misuse can lead to liver or kidney damage, so it's crucial to adhere to the recommended dosage and duration.

Overdose

An overdose of Suolaifen would occur at approximately 5000mg (twenty times the standard adult dose) and could lead to severe liver or kidney damage. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, confusion, and jaundice. Immediate medical intervention is critical in such cases. Treatment often involves gastric lavage (stomach pumping) and the administration of activated charcoal to absorb the excess drug.
