Interns are typically, untrained, students who want to get hands on experience. Most of them in the Scientific Studies Service (SSS) are involved in working Expeditions, but some get positions elsewhere within the organization.

Interns hold the rank of GS-00, they are not paid a salary but are provided for by the organization under the Yamatai Prestige System
